This morning I decided to go ahead and make myself a menu for the day. This is what I came up with.
B-2 medim bananas 217 cals/ 4 pts
L-1/2 cup cottage cheese 81 cals/ 2 pts
D-salad & 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce - 245 cals/ 7 pts
S-I will reward myself at work tonight by making myself a fruit smoothie! 470 cals/ 9 pts
Totals: 1013 cals/ 22 pts
If for some reason I decide not to have a smoothie, then my total intake will only be 493 cals/ 12 pts! I guess at this point I'm still debating on the smoothie. It's a lot of calories.
I've been toying around with
SparkPeople.com lately. It's an awesome program & it's free! So, Spark has shown me how much of what I should be intaking each day. Here is the low-down on that. I will put in my actual daily intake in parenthesis.
Suggested Intake:
Calories: 1470-1820 (1013) - under
Carbs: 165-296 (198) - within budget
Fat: 33-71 (7) - way under
Protein: 37-159 (44) - within budget
Has anyone else ever used this site? If so, what do yall think about it? :)
